Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is meant to help you understand what information we, Axiomatics AB  and its subsidiaries, collect, shares, processes, handles and protects personal information relating to individuals and how you can update, manage, export, and delete your personal information when you visit our website or services which we operate and on which we post a direct link to this Privacy Policy. This policy also tells you what your rights are in relation to the personal data you give to us. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or your rights under it, please contact us.

We will generally respond within 30 days. If we, for any reason, cannot fulfill your request, a justification and a timeframe to when we will be able to respond will be given to you. 

Axiomatics processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 679/2016 of the European Parliament and of the Council, the General Data Protection Regulation. This is often referred to by the abbreviation “GDPR”. We do not rent, sell, or trade your Personal Information. 

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

This policy applies to data collection and processing activities performed by Axiomatics AB. The controller of personal data is Axiomatics AB (556708-1012) with a registered office in Stockholm, Gamla Brogatan 23B. The data controller provides the following data protection notice in accordance with Art. 13 and Art. 14 of the EU Regulation 679/2016, also known as General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

DATA RIGHTS 

It is important for you to understand and be able to exercise your “data rights”. We have listed them below:

  • Request access to your personal data: You have the right to, at any given moment, request confirmation as to whether or not the personal data that we have collected about you (an extract from the register) is being processed, and where that is the case, access to that personal data. Axiomatics will provide you with this information. If you request this more than once in each calendar year, we will charge you an administrative fee. 

This request shall be sent to compliance@axiomatics.com. We will answer your request without undue delay and within one (1) month period. If we, for any reason, cannot fulfill your request, a justification and a timeframe to when we will be able to respond will be given to you. 

The extract from the register you requested will be sent to your registered address or to the e-mail address you left in connection with the start of the processing activities.

  • Request for rectification*: If your data is inaccurate, incomplete or irrelevant, you are entitled to request to have them rectified.
  • Erasure*: Under certain circumstances (ref: art. 17 of the GDPR), you have the right to have your personal data erased. This, however, is not the case if we e.g. are obliged by law to keep the data.
  • Withdraw consent: If we process your personal data based on the legal basis consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time regarding future processing.
  • Objecting to processing: You have the right to object to processing based on the legal ground weighing of interests, unless we have set a legitimate interest as the basis for the processing which overrides the interests.
  • Data portability : If you wish to transmit your personal data that you have shared with us to someone else, you have the right to receive a copy of the personal data concerning you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format that can be transferred to another controller.
  • Restriction of processing*: You can also have the right to request that the processing of your personal data is restricted when possible. However, if you request such a restriction of the processing, it may lead to us not being able to fulfill our commitments toward you during the ongoing restriction.
  • The right to lodge a complaint: We ask you to contact us at compliance@axiomatics.com. If you are dissatisfied with the way we treat your personal data, you also have the right to lodge complaints to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection. 

*Axiomatics will communicate any rectification, erasure of personal data or restriction of processing to each recipient to whom the personal data have been disclosed to, unless it is proven impossible or involves disproportionate effort. The data subject can request Axiomatics to share those recipients.

WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT?

The processing of data will be carried out according to the principles of proportionality and necessity, so that no unnecessary personal data will be collected and/or processed. All personal information is treated with the strictest confidentiality and processed in accordance to the purposes below and always on a lawful basis. Under no circumstances, Axiomatics will forward your personal data to third parties for any other reasons outlined in the section below on how we handle data to third parties services. We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows: 

  • Contact information, including identifiers: this include your first and last name, company title, physical address, telephone number, email address, company name, size and location of the company.
  • Usage data: about your usage of the Axiomatics website, such as web pages clicked, websites and content areas visited, date and time of activities, past transactional behaviour on our website.The web search you used to locate and navigate to the Axiomatics website.
  • Technical data: Internet Protocol address (“IP address”) and information derived from your IP address such as your geographic location, browser type and version, browsing history, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views, and website navigation.
  • Cookies: Unique IDs such as a cookie placed on your computer, mobile or device IDs (please read more about this in our Cookie Policy)
  • In some instances, we may combine other information with personal information, such as deriving geographical location from your IP address and combining behavioral data about your usage of the channels with your name. If we combine other information with personal information, we will treat the combined information as personal information.

Axiomatics collects personal data directly from you and from other categories of sources as described in more detail below.

Personal data that Axiomatics may collect from third parties 

  • Third parties: We may obtain personal data about individuals from third-party sources, including third-party providers of business information and contact data. The information may originate from publicly available sources, business websites, professional networking platforms and other commercial data sources used by our providers.
  • Public available sources

 

* If you have asked for an evaluation product license, we also use this information to define an account for you at the customer support website – support.axiomatics.com where registered customers also have their accounts with basic contact data. Users of the support website can review and edit the information which we keep in their own user profiles.

PURPOSES FOR WHICH WE WILL USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION 

We will only use your personal information when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal information in the following circumstances:

  • Consent: When you give us your consent, we will process your personal data for the specific purpose you have consented to.
  • Contract: When making products and services available to you we will process your personal data necessary for fulfillment of a contract with you and to fulfil any obligations derived from that contract.
  • Legitimate interest: Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests.
  • Legal requirement: Where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.

To make this more clear we have created a description of all the ways we plan to use your personal information, and which of the legal bases we rely on to do so. We have also identified what our legitimate interests are, where appropriate. Note that we may process your personal information for more than one lawful ground depending on the specific purpose for which we are using your information. Please contact us if you need details about the specific legal ground we are relying on to process your personal information where more than one ground has been set out in the table below.

PROTECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Axiomatics takes reasonable technical and organizational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal information to those employees, contractors and third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal information on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality. We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so. 

MORE ABOUT RETENTION

We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information, the purposes for which we process your personal information and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements. Details of retention periods for different aspects of your personal information are available upon request by contacting us. 

In some circumstances, you can ask us to delete your information (art.17 GDPR)

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your Personal Data, we securely delete the information, or if not possible, securely store your Personal Data and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible. In some circumstances, we may anonymize your personal information (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research, statistical or development purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

OPT-OUT FROM DIRECT MARKETING 

You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested information or purchased goods or services from us in the past, or if you provided us with your details when you entered a competition or registered for a promotion and, in each case, you have not opted out of receiving that communication.

If you do not wish to receive any more emails from us you have the right to opt-out at any moment and free of charge, either use the unsubscribe link that is included in all our messages, or contact us by email at compliance@axiomatics.com 

WITHDRAWING OF YOUR CONSENT 

You may withdraw your consent as the legal basis for processing your personal information at any time regarding future processing, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. To do this, please contact us at compliance@axiomatics.com 

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER 

Axiomatics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Leonardo S.p.A. Its global operations are organized under Axiomatics AB, headquartered in Sweden, which wholly owns its U.S. subsidiaries, Axiomatics Inc. and Axiomatics Federal Inc. Most of Axiomatics’ customers are large enterprises with operations across multiple countries. To fulfill their business needs, our performance and our contractual agreements, Axiomatics are sharing resources and data between the three legal entities (Axiomatics AB, Axiomatics Inc and Axiomatics Inc). The data is shared under both intra-group service agreement between the companies with a strict section about confidentiality and also the agreement based on the Standard Contractual Clauses for the transfer of personal data to third countries by the EU Commission. Under these clauses, the subsidiaries must protect your data and provide you with rights and protections at EU level. You can exercise your rights under the Standard Contractual Clauses by contacting us or the subsidiaries processing your personal data. 

HOW WE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

Service Providers

Axiomatics shares personal data with service providers who process data on our behalf and strictly under our instructions for example, providers supporting analytics, event and campaign management, website management, IT infrastructure, customer service, email delivery, auditing, customer relationship management, marketing, and video hosting. These providers may only use your personal data to deliver the service they provide to us, under terms consistent with this Policy, and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) are in place with each of them.

Business Partners (Resellers and Channel Partners)

Axiomatics may also share personal data with reseller and channel partners who help distribute, sell, or provide local support for Axiomatics products in your region. These partners receive personal data only to the extent necessary to fulfil that role, for example, processing an order or coordinating support, and only under Axiomatics' instructions and for the purposes described in this Policy. They are contractually bound to use your data solely for this purpose and to keep it secure. All contracted service providers and business partners are required to keep your data secure and to use it only to fulfil the specific role they perform for Axiomatics or, where relevant, for our customers on our behalf.

Legal Disclosures

We may also disclose personal data to a third party where required to comply with a legal obligation or legal process.

Data Location and International Transfers

To protect your data, we only use service providers and business partners located in the EU or the U.S. These providers are contractually required to comply with applicable EU data protection legislation, including the GDPR. Where data is transferred from the EU to the U.S., appropriate safeguards apply such as participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, or Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable, to ensure an adequate level of protection.

We cannot provide access to your personal data where doing so would conflict with a legal obligation, in cases of illegal or abusive use, or where we receive an order from a competent legal authority.

SENSITIVE INFORMATION

We ask that you to refrain to send or share any sensitive personal information (e.g., government-issued or financial account numbers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, genetic, or biometric data, criminal background, or trade union membership with us. If this kind of information is shared with us, we will delete it as soon as we become aware of it.

We use social media to present our work through widely used and contemporary channels. You can access Axiomatics’s accounts on social media platforms directly from our website. 

Axiomatics is present on the following social media platforms:

  • YouTube 

Each social media platform has its own policy regarding how it processes your personal data when you access its site. For example, if you look at our activity on LinkedIn, you will be asked to accept LinkedIn cookies, the same applies for our presence on Youtube. If you have any concerns or questions about their use of your personal data, please carefully read their privacy policies before using them. The use of social media by Axiomatics does not in any way imply an endorsement of LinkedIn and  YouTube and/or their privacy policy. 

The ideas and views expressed by Axiomatics on social media, are for information purposes only. No communication through social media shall be deemed to constitute legal or official notice on behalf of Axiomatics. Being followed by Axiomatics does not imply an endorsement of any kind. Axiomatics reserves the right to not reply individually to messages or comments received on social media.

CHANGE OF PURPOSE 

If we need to use your personal information for unrelated purposes, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so, or ask for your consent if needed. Please note that we may process your personal information without your knowledge or consent, in compliance with the above rules, where this is required or permitted by law.
