Las Vegas and Stockholm, December 2, 2014 – Today at the Gartner Identity and Access Management Summit, Axiomatics announces the immediate availability of Axiomatics Data Access Filter for multiple databases (ADAF MD). This revolutionary solution from the leader in Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC), brings a new level of security to databases by providing powerful, policy-driven data filtering.
As part of a fast-moving trend toward ABAC, the ability to filter data directly at the database layer, using standard eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) based policies, provides powerful security tools for organizations with sensitive data that needs to be protected. With ADAF MD, data can now be secured in the database, and cannot be extracted unless the policy permits it, even in the event of an unspecific query. Unique in the market, ADAF MD supports multiple database types, providing a complete solution for today’s heterogeneous deployments.
“The feedback we get from the customers we collaborated with in the design of this product indicates that data filtering closes an extremely severe security gap in many organizations”, said Pablo Giambiagi, VP of Strategic Research at Axiomatics. “Today the choice is either to refrain from information sharing, or to do so in violation of corporate security policies, which can be an untenable position. By contrast, data filtering enables business processes based on efficient data sharing which at all times remain compliant with security policies.”
Axiomatics Data Access Filter for multiple databases is simple and scalable: it’s turnkey and easy to deploy as a standalone solution, or can be scaled and integrated to be part of an enterprise-wide Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) deployment.
“Protecting database assets from inadvertent exposure is a major concern for enterprises,” said Babak Sadighi, CEO at Axiomatics. “With ADAF MD, organizations can secure data at the source – and that means they can deploy innovative business applications faster and with less risk to their most sensitive information assets.”
