Stockholm, March 1, 2010. Former VP and Service Director for Burton Group Identity and Privacy Strategies, Gerry Gebel, has joined leading entitlement management experts, Axiomatics. Gebel brings more than 25 years of relevant experience to the company both from the Burton Group and from his time in the financial services industry.   

Axiomatics is happy to announce its latest recruit, former VP and Service Director for Burton Group Identity and Privacy Strategies, Gerry Gebel. Gebel, who is one of the most knowledgeable and respected analysts in the field of entitlement management, will head Axiomatics’ Americas Division.

“We are in an exciting expansion phase at the moment,” said Axiomatics CEO, Babak Sadighi “and we are very happy that Gerry has chosen to join us. As President of the Americas Division he will be overseeing all our operations in North and South America.”

Gebel, who spent more than nine years with the Burton Group, was responsible for a number of relevant areas including federated identity, PKI and security architecture, authentication, identity management and policy based controls. Furthermore, as a senior consultant he was also heavily involved in the strategic planning of identity management projects at a number of Fortune 500 corporations.  

Prior to joining the Burton Group, he spent 14 years in the financial services industry working on architecture, engineering, integration, and production support of mainframe, client server and distributed systems.

“After nearly 10 years as an analyst at Burton Group you get a good sense of where the market is heading and which companies are going to be the most innovative,” said Gebel. “This obviously played an important role in my decision to join Axiomatics,” he continues. “Now I’m looking forward to the challenge of leading the company’s expansion throughout the Americas.”
