Swedish National Health Service
The National Health Service provides medical services to the entire Swedish population. All the members of the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR), representing governmental, professional and employer related interests of Sweden's municipalities, county councils and regions, are the future end-users in what probably represents the world’s largest XACML project. Axiomatics has delivered access control for a system that provides policy-based online access to health records exchanged between different care providers. The system ensures regulatory compliance in complex authorization decisions needed to secure privacy when patient data is exchanged between different parties. The new information service complies with all necessary legislation, which, much like HIPAA in the US, regulates patient data privacy.
